Good point. I only focused on the engine mount itself. Is it easy to spot a transmission mount failure? What exactly should I be looking for when checking the mounting bracket?

Honestly, it wasn't super obvious until I put a jack under the transmission to relieve the pressure. Then I could see the mount was cracked and compressed. I'd say just visually inspect it for cracks or excessive wear. If you're not comfortable, take it to a workshop. I also had error code stored in the error memory. All in all, I would go to the workshop.

Thanks, that's a great help. I went ahead and had them check it. Turns out you were right, one of the mounts was bad. Repair came out to about 95€ Appreciate the advice!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar uneven idling problem on my old 2012 Hyundai Elantra, also gasoline powered. Defective engine wasn't the issue, but it turned out to be the transmission mount that was worn out, causing the whole engine to vibrate like crazy. Did you check all the mounts, including the transmission mount?
