Maverick Active Hood Fault

My 2020 Ford Maverick Hybrid is showing an "Active hood fault" message. The airbag light is also on, and the error is stored in the memory. It seems the spring actuators are triggered. Mileage is 45095 km. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my Maverick. Was anything impacted? It could be a faulty acceleration sensor.

Impacted? You mean like a small collision? Where is the acceleration sensor located?

julianwalter65

Yes, even a minor impact can trigger it. I didn't bother finding the sensor; I just took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the sensor.

Thanks. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the acceleration sensor. Repair cost 315€. All fixed.
