Megane oil level sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Megane hybrid is experiencing an oil level sensor fault, with the error stored in the memory and occasional oil pressure warning lights. Despite the oil level appearing normal when checked manually, the issue persists. A similar case suggested checking the sensor's connection near the oil pan, as a defective plug or cable might be the cause. The recommended solution is to have a professional workshop diagnose and repair the faulty connection.

Thanks for the reply! Where exactly is the sensor located? I'm guessing it's somewhere near the oil pan, but I'm not entirely sure where to look for the connector.

Yeah, it's a pain to get to. If I remember correctly, it's on the lower part of the engine, near the oil pan, like you said. Honestly, I tried fiddling with it myself, but I ended up taking it to a workshop. They said it was a defective plug. Saved myself a headache!

Appreciate the advice! I think I'll do the same and book it in. Local shop diagnosed a defective cable and quoted me 95€ to sort it. Hopefully that's all it is!

Hey, I had something similar with my Megane! Not sure about the hybrid part, but the oil level sensor was playing up. Exact same symptoms: error message, warning light... Drove me nuts. Did you check the sensor's connection?
