Megane Overheating Bypass Valve Error

Power loss... possibly, hard to say for sure. Where should I start looking for this vacuum leak?

Honestly, chasing vacuum leaks without the right tools can be a pain. Since the error memory mentions the bypass valve, it's best to take it to a workshop. They can do a proper smoke test of the exhaust system and pinpoint the exact problem quickly. It'll save you time and headache in the long run.

Thanks, I took your advice and went to the shop. Turns out it was a sensor issue causing a cascade of errors, including the bypass valve one. Repair cost: 0€. All sorted now.

I had something similar with my Megane. Overheating and a stored error could be a vacuum leak in the exhaust system. It might be a consequential error and not the actual bypass valve. Does the car also feel like it's lost some power?
