Megane Sunroof Error

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2020 Renault Megane hybrid. The sunroof gives me a 'not initialized' error. The sunblind is stuck, and the convertible top won't open or close at all. The sunblind also refuses to retract. I suspect it happened after some coding was done on the car. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like a calibration issue. When you say 'coding,' do you mean someone might have accidentally messed with the sunroof control module's settings? A wrong code can definitely mess up the sunroof operation. Have you tried any basic troubleshooting steps, like checking fuses or disconnecting the battery for a bit to reset the system?

Yeah, that's what I meant. I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. I also tried disconnecting the battery, but no luck. Any idea how to calibrate the sunroof? Is that something I can do myself, or do I need special tools?

Calibration usually involves a specific sequence or a diagnostic tool to reset the sunroof's position sensors. You can try searching online for a Renault Megane sunroof calibration procedure, but honestly, messing with it without the right knowledge could make things worse. Considering the coding was the likely cause, and you've already tried basic resets, your best bet is probably taking it to a workshop that knows Renaults. They can re-initialize the sunroof system properly.

Thanks for the advice! You confirmed my suspicion. I took it to a shop, and they recalibrated the sunroof for 75€. Everything's working fine now.
