Menlo Transfer Case Slippage

Has anyone experienced transfer case issues with their 2021 Chevrolet Menlo (electric)? I've got 212707 km on the odometer and I'm seeing slippage and unclean shifting. No external leaks, but I suspect defective gears.

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Chevrolet Menlo owner is experiencing transfer case slippage and unclean shifting at 212,707 km, suspecting defective gears despite no external leaks. Another owner with similar issues suggested checking the transfer fluid, noting that their problem was more pronounced during acceleration. The original owner plans to conduct a thorough inspection and likely visit a workshop for specialized diagnostics, with an estimated repair cost of 330€.

Hey, I think I know what you're talking about. I've got a Menlo too, and I had something similar happen a while back. The gear grinding was driving me nuts, and the shifting felt really rough. I didn't see any leaks either, which made it even more confusing. Did you check the transfer fluid at all?

When you experienced the 'gear grinding' and 'rough shifting,' were these symptoms consistent across all driving conditions, or were they more pronounced under specific circumstances (e.g., acceleration, deceleration, or particular gear ranges)? Did you do any preliminary diagnostics, such as a transfer fluid analysis, prior to addressing the issue? I'm interested in understanding the nuances of your experience to better inform my diagnostic approach.

Okay, so for me it was worse when accelerating, especially from a stop. It kind of smoothed out a little at higher speeds, but it was always there. Honestly, I didn't do any of the fluid analysis stuff. I'm not that technical, so I just took it straight to a workshop I trust. They sorted it out pretty quick.

Based on your account, I shall proceed with a more thorough inspection, potentially deferring to a qualified technician for specialized diagnostics. I believe a workshop visit is now unavoidable. The estimated repair cost provided to me is approximately 330€, which seems reasonable considering the potential complexities involved.
