I had a similar issue with my A Klasse The fault codes pointed to undervoltage issues Check your battery's health first Sometimes a weak battery can trigger all sorts of weird errors in modern car electronics Has the battery been replaced recently Also, inspect the battery terminals and ground connections for corrosion A poor connection can also cause undervoltage Consider using a multimeter to check the voltage at various points in the electrical system to pinpoint where the voltage drop is occurring

Thank you for your helpful response I appreciate the suggestion to check the battery and connections The battery hasn't been replaced recently, so that's definitely something to investigate Could you elaborate on which points in the electrical system are most critical to check with the multimeter, or could this lead to more issues What kind of automotive diagnostics might be helpful

Confirming it was indeed the undervoltage issue causing the fault memory lock in my car as well Given your limited experience and the complexity of modern car electronics and automotive diagnostics, I would recommend taking it to a workshop with experience in ECU fault finding It is likely that a deep dive into the ECU diagnostics is needed They can perform a thorough diagnosis and pinpoint the source of the undervoltage and clear the fault codes properly Trying to diagnose it yourself without the proper tools and knowledge might cause further damage

Many thanks for the recommendation I took your advice and brought the Mercedes to a workshop You were spot on – it was indeed related to undervoltage and the car electronics needed looking at The estimated repair cost was accurate too They sorted it out, did some ECU diagnostics, and cleared the error memory Everything is working smoothly now
