Mercedes A Klasse Electrical Gremlins

My 2020 Mercedes A Klasse gasoline engine is acting up at 140283 km The onboard diagnostics shows an error stored in the error memory, the navigation system is dead, and things are generally wonky A local mechanic suspects implausible control unit programming and quoted 240€ for a software reset or possible software refresh Has anyone else dealt with ECU problems like this on a newer A Klasse Any advice before I commit

I had similar ECU problems with my 2018 Opel Insignia Error messages were everywhere Did they say what triggered it A software refresh might solve it

They weren't entirely sure what triggered it They mentioned the control unit needing reprogramming Did the software refresh completely fix your issue, or were there lingering problems

Yes, the refresh solved the issue completely I suggest taking it to the workshop and having the software checked as they suggested

Thanks for the input I took it in, and a software refresh on the control unit seems to have sorted everything Hopefully, that's the end of it I appreciate the help
