Mercedes A Klasse Hybrid Engine Temperature Issue

My Mercedes A Klasse, build year 2022, Hybrid engine, is not reaching optimal operating temperature. I suspect the thermostat cooling circuit motor. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? Could this also affect the cooling fan? The cooling system seems compromised!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had a similar drama with my old Volvo. The temperature control went haywire, and the engine was taking ages to warm up. Is your coolant system topped up? I initially thought it was the thermostat too, but turned out to be something minor.

I did check the coolant levels, and they seem to be within the acceptable range. What was the underlying cause of your Volvo's thermal woes? And did you notice any unusual behavior from the cooling fan or the wider cooling system before discovering the real problem?

Well, it turned out it was some sensor acting up, sending wrong signals. Caused the cooling fan to run constantly and the temperature gauge to misbehave. Honestly, with these modern cars, it could be anything! If you're sure about the thermostat and you are experiencing overheating, I would head to a workshop before you cook the engine.

I shall heed your advice and seek the counsel of a skilled mechanic. Turns out it was, as suspected, a defective thermostat. All is fixed now at around 360€. Thanks again for your help!
