Mercedes A Klasse Hybrid sunroof issue after coding

I wasn't specifically trying to mess with the sunroof system. The coding was mainly for some lighting tweaks, but maybe something got crossed somehow. When you say recalibration, is that something I can do myself, or am I looking at a workshop visit? Any idea what might be involved with the sunroof troubleshooting in this case?

Given that the coding was not directly related to the sunroof mechanism, it is difficult to ascertain the precise cause without diagnostic equipment. Recalibration procedures for the sunroof control often require specialized tools. While certain basic resets might be accessible, attempting them without proper understanding could potentially exacerbate the problem. I would recommend consulting a qualified technician for diagnosis and repair.

Took your advice and brought the car to a shop. Turns out, the coding had messed with the sunroof settings somehow. They reinitialized the sunroof system, and everything's working fine now. Cost me about 75€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

The issue you describe with your automobile sunroof is not unfamiliar. I have experienced similar behavior on my A Klasse, where the sunroof mechanism exhibited erratic behavior following coding modifications. It is possible that the sunroof control unit requires recalibration or the coding may have introduced an unintended conflict. Did the coding involve any modifications to the sunroof system specifically?
