Mercedes AMG GT Hybrid performance issues

Experiencing issues with my 2020 Mercedes AMG GT Hybrid after 194384 kilometers I've noticed performance decline, higher fuel consumption, and occasional engine stalling plus the check engine light is on and there's smoke from the exhaust when accelerating I suspect a defective mass air flow meter could this explain the symptoms, especially the altered air-fuel ratio I changed the air filter recently so I don't think that's it

Check engine light and stalling point to a problem MAF sensor failure fits the symptoms of increased fuel consumption, rough idle, and smoke Unmetered air affects the air-fuel ratio Has the check engine light been diagnosed with an OBD2 scanner What codes were reported

Thanks for the quick reply I used an OBD2 scanner and got a P0101 code, which means a mass air flow sensor range or performance issue Does this confirm your initial thoughts What else should I check before replacing the MAF sensor

P0101 confirms the MAF sensor issue Given the car's age and mileage, replacing it is a good idea I'd suggest a technician confirms it first Get a professional opinion to avoid spending money unnecessarily

Thanks for the help I took it to a Mercedes tech who said the MAF sensor was bad Replacing it, with labor, cost 365€ The engine stalling and smoke are gone, and fuel consumption is back to normal
