Mercedes B Klasse automatic transmission issue

I'm experiencing some concerning issues with my 2018 Mercedes B Klasse gasoline with about 183567 km on it. The automatic transmission seems to be acting up. I've noticed some implausible shifting behavior, and the transmission indicator light has illuminated a few times. It's not shifting as smoothly as it used to, and occasionally feels like it's stuck in emergency mode. Could this be due to worn-out automatic transmission oil? I have been reading about possible undervoltage problems, but I'm not sure if this is the reason. Could a transmission flush help? Maybe the hydraulic fluid needs replacing? I am worried about a slipping transmission and escalating transmission problems.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Mercedes B Klasse's automatic transmission. I also own a B Klasse and have experienced similar issues in the past. It sounds like you might indeed be dealing with transmission problems. Have you checked the transmission fluid level recently? When was the last time you had a transmission flush done? Slipping transmission and emergency mode can be serious, so it's essential to get it checked soon.

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the transmission fluid level myself, to be honest, and I'm not sure when the last transmission flush was performed. I've only had the car for a couple of years. When you had similar issues, what exactly was the problem, and how did you resolve it? Did you also experience the implausible shifting behavior and the transmission light coming on?

Yes, I experienced similar implausible shifting behavior and the transmission light. In my case, the issue was diagnosed as undervoltage leading to the transmission control unit malfunctioning. While a transmission flush might help in some cases, it's crucial to get a proper diagnosis first. I would suggest taking it to a qualified mechanic for inspection. They will be able to accurately determine the cause of the problem and recommend the appropriate solution.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I really appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop. Indeed, the issue was related to undervoltage! I have had it repaired for 240€.
