Mercedes B Klasse Engine Issues

My 2021 Mercedes B Klasse with a gasoline engine is acting up. The check engine light is on, it feels like it lost power, and I'm seeing smoke when I accelerate. I'm guessing it's something with the crankcase ventilation valve. Has anyone else run into this? Could a defective valve cause all these issues, like emissions and a leak?

Reduced power and smoke? Sounds serious. Is the idle rough too? A bad crankcase valve could definitely cause those symptoms. Have you checked for any obvious signs of a leak around the valve or any related hoses?

Rough idle sometimes, yes. What exactly should I be looking for regarding a leak? What kind of 'obvious signs' are we talking about?

Okay, rough idle confirms it even more. You would be looking for oil residue or grime buildup around the valve and its connections. Honestly, with those symptoms, especially the smoke, it's probably best to get it checked by a workshop. It could lead to bigger problems if left unattended.

Thanks. I took it to the workshop, and you were right. The crankcase ventilation valve was shot. The repair cost me 360€. It runs like new again.
