Mercedes B Klasse Hybrid Check Engine Light and Fuel Consumption

My 2020 Mercedes B Klasse hybrid has an intermittent check engine light and increased fuel consumption at 212740 km I suspect an aging O2 sensor or connection issue The garage quoted 95€ for a new sensor Could the exhaust sensor be affecting the air-fuel ratio and catalytic converter

The suspected cause was an aging O2 sensor or a connection issue, potentially affecting the air-fuel ratio and catalytic converter. That sounds familiar Was your fuel efficiency noticeably worse Did you check the O2 sensor connections before the quote

Yes fuel efficiency is worse I haven't checked the connections yet but I plan to Should that be my first step Did you replace your O2 sensor or was it just a connection

Mine needed a new O2 sensor eventually Check the connections first If that doesn't fix it get it checked professionally Better safe than sorry with the catalytic converter
