Mercedes B Klasse Hybrid Defrost Air Distribution Flap Problem

My Mercedes B Klasse 2022 Hybrid has diminished heating output. A diagnostic scan shows an error related to the defrost air distribution flap. The car has 30384 km on it. I suspect a defect in the cable or plug connection. Has anyone else seen this HVAC unit issue? I think the problem is within the climate control system or the dashboard panel area.

I have a B Klasse, but not a hybrid. I had a similar issue with reduced heat output. It turned out to be a problem with the blend door actuator, which controls the mix of hot and cold air. The ventilation system wasn't directing the air correctly. Have you checked the actuator's functionality, or considered the heater core?

Thanks for the input. Can you elaborate on the diagnostic procedure used to find the blend door actuator malfunction? Did the diagnostic error specifically identify the actuator, or was it a more generic HVAC system fault?

The error wasn't specific, it just indicated a problem with air distribution. The workshop diagnosed it by manually checking the actuator's movement when adjusting the temperature. It wasn't responding correctly. Given the potential for wiring issues and the low repair cost you mentioned, I would advise a professional diagnosis to avoid further complications with the climate control.

Understood. Your insights are appreciated. Replacing the wiring harness fixed it. The estimated cost of 95€ was accurate. The defrost system is working again.
