Thanks for the tip I haven't tried a hard reset yet Is there anything I should watch out for when disconnecting the battery so I don't mess up the car's electrics

Taking the battery off can sometimes cause problems but it's usually okay if you do it right Make sure the ignition's off and the keys aren't in Disconnect the negative first then the positive Wait about 10 to 15 minutes Put the positive back on first then the negative But because it's a newer Mercedes I'd be careful There might be a more complicated system that needs a dealer For me the hard reset didn't fix it so I'd suggest going to a garage to get it sorted as it only cost me 45€

I had something similar with my old BMW The infotainment system just died and wouldn't pair It's probably a software thing Have you tried resetting the system I mean properly disconnecting the battery for a bit You might have to put some settings back in after
