Unfortunately, I can't recall the exact wiring. I took mine straight to the workshop. It was a wiring issue, just like yours. Best get it checked.

Thank you for the advice. The workshop found a wiring issue causing the communication fault. Repair cost 95€.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my C Klasse. Check the CAN bus wiring to the engine control module. A communication fault can cause all sorts of weirdness.
