Mercedes C Klasse Diesel Terminal 30 Issue

My 2005 Mercedes C Klasse diesel is showing intermittent power loss, especially when starting. It has 222142 km on the clock. I suspect a Terminal 30 continuous plus interruption. Battery tests show it heavily discharged, possibly defective. I've checked for obvious shorts, but suspect an electrical fault somewhere. Where should I start looking?

I had a similar issue on my C Klasse. Check the circuit breaker for the power supply. I was getting voltage drop and it was messing with everything. Could be a short circuit somewhere in that line.

Thanks for the tip. Which circuit breaker specifically? Did you notice any other symptoms besides the poor start?

It was the main one for the power distribution. I just took it to the workshop after checking the obvious ones. I also had some weird issues with the dashboard lights flickering. It sounds like you might have something similar, and it could be worth getting it properly diagnosed.

I appreciate the advice. It turned out to be a faulty battery and a corroded connection on the terminal. A new battery and cleaning the connection sorted it. The cost was around 290€.
