Mercedes C Klasse Hybrid Damping Adjustment Fault

Has anyone experienced ride quality problems with their 2022 Mercedes C Klasse hybrid? It has 173997 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'damping adjustment fault' error, the warning light is on, and the ride is noticeably bumpy. I suspect it's a cable or plug connection issue with a suspension component. The repair estimate is about 95€, and it's definitely impacting handling.

Damping adjustment fault, bumpy ride and a warning light... sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my old Volvo, different car, but the symptoms were strikingly alike. Did your suspension issue start intermittently, then become permanent?

Intermittent? Not really. The light came on, and the bumpy ride started immediately. It never went away. Were you able to diagnose it yourself, or did you take it straight to a workshop?

I went straight to the workshop. It ended up being a corroded connector in the suspension system, just like you suspect. Do you have the equipment and know-how to check the wiring yourself? If not, I'd recommend taking it in. It's better to be safe when it comes to suspension.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was a corroded connector. They cleaned it, and the error's gone. The suspension issue is resolved.
