Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked any of that yet. Where would I even begin to look for those components on this engine? Are they easily accessible?

Without knowing the specific error codes, it's difficult to say. Accessing the spark plugs, oxygen sensor, and crankshaft sensor depends on the engine layout. Honestly, with those symptoms and not knowing where to start, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. An exhaust system leak could also cause these symptoms.

I appreciate the input. I took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a leak in the exhaust system, as you suspected. Repair cost was 265€. It runs smoothly now.

Uneven running and a CEL on a hybrid C Klasse could stem from several issues. Considering the jerking, I'd suspect an ignition or fueling problem. Have you inspected the spark plugs? Also, have you scanned for specific codes? Knowing the codes would help narrow it down. It could range from a faulty oxygen sensor to a dodgy crankshaft sensor or even the ignition coil packs. Less likely, but a failing fuel pump could also cause those symptoms.
