Mercedes Citan electric door issue

It's completely dead; no response at all. I haven't checked the fuses yet; that's a good suggestion. When yours had the same issue, was it intermittent at first, or did it fail suddenly? What ultimately fixed it for you, and what was the cause of failure?

Mine was intermittent at first, then just died completely. Honestly, I didn't mess with it much after checking the fuses. I took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out. I vaguely remember them saying it was a wiring fault somewhere in the door electronics. If the fuses are fine, I'd suggest taking it in.

Thanks for the insight; very helpful. I'll check the fuses, but I suspect you are right and it's a wiring fault. It's booked in for diagnostics. They quoted 95€, so that seems reasonable. Appreciate you sharing your experience.

That's rough. I had something similar happen on my Citan, though the mileage wasn't nearly that high. The electric door just stopped responding. Is it completely dead, or does it sometimes work? Maybe it's just a wiring fault, but it could be the door actuator itself. Did you check the fuses? Seems simple, but it’s worth a try.
