Mercedes CLA Air Suspension Problem

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the compressor or the relay yet, just focused on the air spring itself due to the error message. Is there an easy way to check the compressor and air lines? Regarding the exact error code, I will check it again. Also, should I check the condition of the suspension system?

On the Audi, the compressor had a dedicated fuse and relay, which were easy to access. Your Mercedes should have a similar setup. A multimeter will help you check for voltage. As for the air lines, you can try spraying soapy water on the connections while the system is trying to inflate. Bubbles will indicate a leak. Regarding the suspension system, it might be safer to have a shop do a proper diagnostic since you're dealing with a pneumatic suspension issue and the vehicle can no longer lift. Faulty air suspension can be dangerous if not handled correctly, so best to leave it to the pros.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was indeed the suspension air bag valve that had failed. Repair cost was about 590€. At least now my car is driving smoothly again.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my Audi A6 Allroad. The air suspension system is complex. Before replacing parts, have you checked the basics? I'm talking about the compressor, relay, and air lines for leaks. Also, what specific error code are you getting? The exact code would help pinpoint the issue. A defective air spring valve is plausible, but rule out other easier fixes first. The shock absorber might be damaged.
