Mercedes CLA diesel wiper malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Mercedes CLA diesel owner experienced a malfunction with the windshield wipers, which stopped working while other functions on the stalk, like turn signals and cruise control, remained operational. The issue was suspected to be a bad cable or plug on the wiper switch. However, after checking the fuse, it was discovered that a blown fuse for the wiper motor was the cause. Replacing the fuse resolved the problem, restoring the wipers to working condition.

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think about the fuse since the turn signals still work. Do you know which fuse is for the wipers? I don't have the fuse diagram handy.

I'm not positive about the exact spot on your CLA, but the fuse box is usually under the hood or in the driver's footwell. The diagram should be printed on the fuse box cover or in your owner's manual. If it's not a blown fuse, then it's probably a bad wiper switch or wiring like you thought. You should probably get it checked out by a professional.

Thanks. I found the fuse diagram and a blown fuse for the wiper motor. I replaced the fuse, and the wipers work now. I appreciate the help fixing this quickly.

That's odd. The turn signal and cruise control working makes it seem less like the whole stalk failed. Did you check the wiper fuse? Could be something simple before you dig into the wiring.
