Mercedes CLA Hybrid rough running issue

My 2023 Mercedes CLA Hybrid engine runs rough, stalls at idle, and the check engine light is on. It also hesitates during acceleration. Diagnostics suggest a defective ignition coil, maybe from a faulty cable or plug. Could a failing coil pack cause these symptoms? Is there a common cause for ignition system failures in this model?

I had a similar issue with my CLA. Misfire, engine stalling, the whole thing. Did you check the spark plugs as well? Could be related.

Thanks. Are you suggesting spark plug condition and ignition coil failure are linked? Did you have engine hesitation along with the misfire?

Yes, similar symptoms. It might not be the only cause, but it is worth checking. I took mine to a workshop, it was easier than doing it myself.

I appreciate the confirmation about similar symptoms. The workshop advice was good. The problem was a defective ignition coil and a loose connector. The repair cost 95€.
