When you say 'similar', do you mean the stalling at idle and the check engine light? And when you checked the hoses, was it obvious they were clogged? Like, could you see it, or did you need to use a tool or something? I just want to get an idea of what I'm getting into before I start tearing things apart.

Yes, same symptoms. Check engine and stalling. I didn't see the clog. My workshop pressure tested the fuel tank system and found a bad purge valve. Best to get it checked properly.

Okay, thanks for the insight! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on. Turns out the tank ventilation valve was indeed faulty, likely due to clogged hoses. The automotive repair ended up costing me about 175€, but at least the check engine light is off, and it's not stalling anymore! Appreciate the help.

I had a similar issue with my CLA. Sounds like a purge valve problem. Think of it like a blocked airway in a person; the engine can't breathe properly. I would check the hoses. A clogged hose could definitely be the issue.
