Mercedes CLA Key Battery Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Mercedes CLA owner experienced a 'key battery low' warning, leading to impaired keyless access and locking functions. The issue was identified as a dead key fob battery. After confirming the spare key worked, it was suggested to replace the fob battery, likely a CR2032. The owner replaced the battery, resolving the problem.

Thanks. The spare car key works fine. Can you tell me what kind of battery the car key needs?

It’s likely a CR2032 battery, but check your owner's manual to be sure. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, the dealer can replace the fob battery. Parts and labor cost me 37€, but the price may be different now.

I had a similar issue with my CLA. The key fob became completely unresponsive. Have you tried using the spare car key to see if that works? If so it's probably the fob battery. I had to replace my car key battery at some point.
