Mercedes CLA oil pressure issue and engine noises

I'm running into an issue with my 2022 Mercedes CLA, gasoline engine, that’s got me scratching my head. Just turned over 40789 km. The oil pressure warning lamp keeps lighting up, and I'm hearing some pretty concerning mechanical noises coming from the engine. I suspect it's a low oil pressure issue, possibly stemming from a faulty oil pump, but I wanted to get some other opinions before tearing things apart. I've checked the engine oil level, and it's fine. I'm aware it could be the oil pressure sensor, but the noises are making me lean towards something more serious. Could it be oil pump failure? Anyone else experienced similar symptoms?

Dude, that sounds rough! I got a CLA too, and had something similar happen. Low oil pressure, freaky noises... seriously, is there anything worse? Did you just do an oil change or something?

The oil change was about 6000 km ago, so it's not super recent. What ended up being the issue with your CLA? Was it actually the oil pump?

Yep, oil pump failure. Ended up costing a fortune, well, 755€ actually. Get it to a workshop ASAP!

Thanks for the info. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Dropped it off at the workshop, and you were spot on – oil pump failure. Getting it fixed. Thanks again!
