Mercedes CLA parking brake issue

My 2020 Mercedes CLA diesel electronic parking brake has stopped working at only 15375 km. There's an error in the memory and a warning light. I think it's a bad electric motor in the brake calliper. Has this happened to anyone? The repair is about 505€. Could it be a system problem, like the brake switch or control module, causing it to fail?

That sounds familiar. Did the brake pedal feel strange before the parking brake failed?

Thanks. I didn't feel anything odd in the brake pedal before the parking brake stopped working. Can you tell me more about what happened with your CLA?

Mine was the parking brake too. The light came on and it wouldn't engage. I hoped it was just a sensor, but it wasn't. Take it to a workshop, they'll fix it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll book an appointment with a technician to check it out. It seems the electric motor in the calliper is the problem. Thanks again for your help.
