Thanks for the quick reply Can you tell me how you found the vacuum leak What diagnostic steps did you use or were there things you could see

I tried doing it myself with smoke tests and carb cleaner but it was a pain The leak was so small I just took it to a mechanic They said it was a gasket leak in the intake manifold causing manifold pressure issues Getting it properly diagnosed is the best way to avoid problems

Whoa that sounds rough I had a similar problem with my CLK Check for a vacuum leak near the manifold My manifold pressure readings were all over the place and I was getting engine misfires like crazy Could be a simple gasket leak Have you checked that
