Mercedes CLK oil level sensor issue

I need some help with my 2005 Mercedes CLK with a gasoline engine. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer about the oil level. The warning light is on, and the oil pressure lamp is also lighting up. The error memory shows a faulty oil level sensor signal. It could be a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this sensor issue before? I saw something about 95€ for the repair. Any advice on this oil detection problem?

I had a similar oil signal problem on my CLK. Check the sensor connections first, clean them, and see if that resolves it.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'sensor connections,' are you talking about the one right on the oil pan or somewhere else? I'm not super familiar with car maintenance, so any extra details would be awesome.

Yes, the one on the oil pan. If cleaning doesn't fix it, you likely have a faulty sensor. Best to get it checked at a workshop.

Just wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be exactly what you said – a faulty sensor. They replaced it, and the error is gone. Much appreciated!
