Mercedes E Klasse Bumper Antenna Issue

My Mercedes E Klasse hybrid, build year 2018, is throwing a code related to the bumper antenna. Unlocking and locking is intermittent, and sometimes I can't start the engine without the key in the ignition. I'm getting error messages about the antenna. Has anyone seen this before? Maybe a bad connection somewhere.

I had something similar happen on my E Klasse! I was losing my mind. Check the antenna mount and wiring harness. Could be corroded or loose. Is your car radio reception also whack?

Radio reception seems fine actually. Where exactly is the antenna mount located? Is it easy to get to, or am I going to have to pull the whole bumper off?

Mine was fine too. It's probably the connection then. Honestly, I just took mine to a shop. Didn't want to mess with the bumper. Best to let the pros handle it.

I had a look and couldn't easily find the antenna connector, so I took your advice and booked it into the workshop. They confirmed it was a faulty connector and did an antenna repair. Bill came to 95€. Sorted now!
