Mercedes E Klasse control unit communication error

My 2021 Mercedes E Klasse with a diesel engine is acting up It has 180340 km and I am getting a control unit communication error The check engine light is on the engine overheats and there is coolant spilled under the car from pressure Is it a wiring issue or a control module fault

Sounds rough I had something similar with my E Klasse though I didn't have the coolant leak The check engine light and communication fault were the main issues Is it possible it's a software glitch I wonder if the data link to one of the sensors is acting up which could cause weird issues

When you say data link acting up are you talking about a physical connection problem or is it more about the software itself I am not sure if I should be chasing a wiring issue or if I need to start thinking about a software installation and I am not sure where to begin

Honestly it's hard to say for sure without diagnostics but my gut feeling leans towards a cable or plug connection of the component being defective With these cars so much relies on the control module getting the right signals I'd suggest a workshop and a proper scan It saves guesswork

The issue was a defective plug connection They ran a diagnostic scan and found the error right away The repair cost was 95€ I appreciate the help
