Thanks for the tip I'll check the connections and the fuse first When yours overheated, was the fan completely dead, or was it just not spinning fast enough And did the check engine light come on for you as well

Mine was completely dead Check engine light was on The diagnostic pointed to the fan control module I would advise to read out the error codes before you do anything else I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop to be sure

Thanks, I appreciate the help I took it to a trusted mechanic and you were right, the speed sensor was faulty Repair cost me around 250€ All sorted now

I have a similar Mercedes E Klasse I had the same overheating problem last year It could be the fan motor, but check the electrical connections first Are you sure the fan is not spinning at all These cars are pretty sensitive to voltage drops Could be a fuse as well
