Mercedes E Klasse Hybrid Transmission Problems

My 2017 Mercedes E Klasse hybrid with around 207820 km won't start The check engine light is on, and the automatic transmission slips I'm also getting a transmission error code Could a defective control unit be the cause, preventing the automatic transmission from engaging park properly? I've heard this can lead to complete transmission failure, possibly from a faulty shift lock Could neutral also be affected? What could cause this transmission issue?

Sounds like control unit failure Does the error memory point to a specific module? A faulty unit could explain the engine start issue, check engine light, and shifting problems The parking position issue and shift lock malfunction are also consistent Have you checked the wiring harness for damage?

The error code points to the transmission control unit You mentioned checking the wiring harness Is there a common failure spot? Can the control unit be diagnosed, or is replacement the only option?

Harness issues are often near the transmission, look for chafing or corrosion For the control unit, advanced diagnostics are needed to confirm failure Do you have a diagnostic tool that reads live data from the transmission control unit? If not, a workshop visit is likely needed to confirm Replacement might be quickest if internal damage is suspected

Thanks! It seems to be the control unit I took it to a shop, and they confirmed it After transmission repair and replacing the control unit, everything is normal The total cost was 1000€ Thanks for the quick advice
