Mercedes EQC electric central locking problem

My 2023 Mercedes EQC electric has a central locking issue None of the doors lock or unlock anymore I scanned it with my OBD reader and it's throwing an error related to the central locking system The report suggests a defective cable or plug connection Has anyone else experienced something similar I'm dreading a hefty bill but the diagnostics estimate around 95€ for repair I've checked the obvious remote locking battery even had a peek at the fuse box diagram but nothing seems out of place Keyless entry is also dead Any thoughts before I'm forced to take it in

Sounds like a PITA Did you check all the fuses related to central locking not just the main one Sometimes there are multiple fuses for different components of the system Also is the error code specific That might narrow down which locking mechanism or wiring harness is suspect

Good point about the fuses I only checked the central one Is there a known location for all the central locking fuses The error code is fairly generic it only states 'Central Locking System Malfunction' I'm assuming it is not a software issue

Yeah that generic code is less than helpful I'd bet on a wiring issue rather than software given the symptoms You're probably best off biting the bullet and letting a workshop trace the wiring Could be a corroded connector somewhere At least you have some idea of the cost ahead of time

Took your advice and brought it to the shop Turns out it was a corroded connector in the door wiring harness just like you suspected They cleaned it up and the central locking works perfectly again Bill was almost exactly as predicted Thanks for the help
