Mercedes EQC height control issue

My 2023 Mercedes EQC electric is showing a 'Height control restricted' warning. I've driven 238529 km and the low beams are acting strangely, sometimes too low, other times too high. The ride is bumpy and the front sits lower than the rear. The error relates to height adjustment. Could it be a defective control rod on the load sensor? Has anyone else experienced this suspension issue? What about the control module, air suspension, or the load sensor itself?

That sounds familiar. I had almost the same problem with my EQC. The 'Height control restricted' warning was annoying! Bumpy ride, uneven height… everything you described. Did you check the air suspension system? Could the load sensor be faulty? What about the height adjustment control module?

The air suspension seems okay, no leaks. The error code points to the load sensor. Can I check the control rod myself without special tools? How did you diagnose the problem?

I didn't touch it myself. I'm not mechanically inclined. I took it to a workshop. They ran diagnostics and confirmed it was the control rod on the sensor, like you thought. It's best to get it checked professionally, especially with air suspension.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop and you were right. It was the control rod on the load sensor. The repair cost 110€. The ride is smooth and the warning is gone. I appreciate the help.
