Mercedes EQC Transport Mode Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mercedes EQC electric vehicle displayed a "Transport mode active" message, along with electrical malfunctions and navigation issues. The problem was unlikely related to the immobilizer or key fob, as "Transport mode" is a restricted state meant for shipping. The solution required a visit to a Mercedes workshop for diagnostic equipment and software installation, which resolved the issue.

I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. The battery voltage is normal too. Is there a key fob sequence to disable transport mode, or is software the only solution?

While some systems have key resets, Transport mode on an EQC almost always needs diagnostic equipment to reconfigure the software, ensuring all systems work after delivery. The risk of bricking the ECU is too high to try unverified procedures. I suggest contacting a Mercedes workshop for diagnosis and software installation.

Understood. I suspected a workshop visit. I scheduled an appointment. Transport mode was still active, and software installation fixed it at no cost.

The "Transport mode active" message suggests a restricted state, like a car fresh from the factory, limiting functions to save battery during shipping. It's unlikely an immobilizer or key fob issue. Think of it like airplane mode. Usually, a dealer visit and software installation are needed to deactivate it. Have you checked the automotive fuses and battery voltage?
