Mercedes EQV electric check engine light and power loss

My 2021 Mercedes EQV electric is giving me trouble at 192684 km. The check engine light is on, and the power is noticeably reduced with a serious response delay. I suspect it's the throttle valve, the accelerator pedal module, or some electronics messing with the air flow. Has anyone else experienced similar issues with these electric Mercs? What sensors should I be checking besides the throttle sensor?

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Mercedes EQV electric vehicle experienced issues with the check engine light and reduced power, suspected to be caused by the throttle valve, accelerator pedal module, or electronic airflow interference. The problem was resolved by replacing the defective accelerator pedal module, which cleared the error codes. Seeking professional diagnosis at a workshop was recommended and proved effective in identifying and fixing the issue.

I had a similar issue once with my old Skoda. Different car, but the symptoms sound familiar: check engine light, sluggish acceleration. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty mass air flow sensor. Did you notice any other changes, like rough idling or unusual engine noises before the problems started?

Rough idling isn't really a thing with EVs, is it? But that response delay is persistent. So your Skoda had similar symptoms, and it was the mass air flow sensor? But the Skoda is combustion, how could that apply to my EQV, I am unsure if it even has that?

You're right, EVs don't idle. Sorry, forgot that small detail! What I wanted to say is that the symptoms could be related to an air flow issue even in your car. I'm no expert, but I would probably take it to a workshop if the check engine light is on. They can read the error codes and pinpoint the problem much faster than you or I can.

I took your advice and brought it in. Turns out the accelerator pedal module was indeed defective. New one installed, error codes cleared. Total cost: 265€. Thanks for the nudge towards the workshop!
