Thanks. The error is constant. I don't have the specific diagnostic codes right now, but they pointed to a connection problem. Where is the telematics control module located? I'd like to check the connections before taking it in.

A constant error suggests a hardware issue. Tracing the telematics control module wiring in a G Wagen can be difficult, and you could damage something else. Given that it's a car safety feature and you're seeing error messages, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose and repair the wiring, which is probably faster and safer than doing it yourself, even if it seems like a simple cable.

I took it to the workshop. It was a corroded connector, as suspected. 95€ later, the emergency call system is working. Thanks for the help!

Mercedes call failure issues can be tricky. Is the error constant, or intermittent? Knowing the specific diagnostic codes would help narrow it down. It's likely related to the telematics control module. While it's not a critical safety issue like brake failure, the emergency call system is important, so it should be resolved. Have you checked the telematics system fuses? Sometimes the solution is simple.
