Mercedes GLE Hybrid Turn Signal Issue

I've got a recurring electrical fault in my 2020 Mercedes GLE hybrid, around 40807 km. The turn signal lamp is defective, and I get an error message on the speedometer. Diagnostics show a lighting system error stored. I'm thinking it's a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this before?

Electrical gremlins are the worst! I had something similar with the side marker on my old Saab 9-3. Check the flasher relay and all the connections first. Might save you from just replacing the bulb and chasing ghosts. Is the turn indicator intermittent, or totally dead?

Thanks for the reply. The turn signal is intermittent. Could you tell me more about how you troubleshooted the flasher relay on your Saab 9-3?

Intermittent points to a shaky connection or a relay failing. On the Saab, the relay was the problem; it worked sometimes, other times, nothing. You could try swapping the relay with another one of the same type to see if the problem moves. But given it's a Merc and the cost, I'd just get it checked. Could be CAN bus related!

Thanks for the advice. I'll get it checked at a workshop. The repair should be around 95€. Thanks again.
