Interesting. When you say actuator, are you referring to the component directly connected to the ventilation flap? And if so, how did you access it? Was it something easily reachable, or did it require dismantling part of the interior? I am trying to determine how much effort is required.

Yes, I am talking about the component connected directly to the flap. Honestly, accessing it was more involved than I initially anticipated. I ended up taking it to a workshop because I didn't want to risk damaging anything. Considering the error you're seeing and the air conditioning issue, I think you'd benefit from a professional diagnosis too.

Appreciate the insight. I think I will bring it to a workshop. They quoted about 95€ to fix the faulty cable or plug connection. Thanks again for the advice.

I have a similar Mercedes GLE, though not the same year, and experienced a frustrating issue with my car HVAC system last year. The symptoms sound remarkably similar to what I went through. Have you checked the flap actuator itself? It might be worth inspecting that component and its connections before assuming it's just a cable. I'd suggest looking into that.
