Mercedes GLK Audio System Failure MOST Bus Fault

My 2008 Mercedes GLK diesel audio system and navigation have completely failed. A diagnostic scan shows a MOST bus fault. Has anyone else run into this?

Oh man, that sounds rough. I had a similar issue with my Mercedes. I don't remember the exact year, but it was a real pain. No sound, nav was dead, the whole shebang! Have you checked the connections to the amplifier? That was the culprit in my case. It's worth a shot before you start replacing control units!

Thanks for the quick reply. Could you give me more details about where the amplifier is and what the connection issue was? Was it just a loose connector, or was there corrosion or damage?

Okay, so on mine, the amp was in the trunk, behind the trim on the left side. I just unplugged it, gave the connector a good look, and plugged it back in. Boom! Everything worked. I'd still get it checked in a workshop if I couldn't fix it, as it could be a more serious electrical problem.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. I will inspect the amplifier connections as you suggested. Given the potential complexity of the MOST bus network and the diagnostic error code, I will probably get a qualified technician to do a full check. Thanks again for your help.
