Mercedes GLK diesel oil level sensor signal faulty

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2010 Mercedes GLK diesel. The error message 'oil level sensor signal faulty' is displayed, triggering a warning light and illuminating the oil pressure lamp. The error is also stored in the error memory with mileage at 223237 km. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the cause?

Whoa, that sounds stressful! I had a similar freakout with my old Fiat – different brand, same drama. My 'check engine' light was going bonkers because of a faulty oil sensor too. It was like the car was screaming 'I'm dying!' when it was just a bad connection. Is your oil monitoring working at all? Does it even register the oil level, or is it just showing a blank?

The oil level is not displayed. The error message appears instead.

Ah, so it's completely blind! Yeah, sounds more and more like my Fiat experience. The oil signal was completely dead. I'm no mechanic, but if you're seeing all those lights and getting the error, and the oil level isn't showing, that faulty sensor diagnosis probably rings true. I'd say get it checked out by a workshop, just to be safe. Ignoring it could be like ignoring a ticking time bomb for your engine!

It was indeed a faulty sensor connection. The repair cost 95€ and the issue is resolved.
