Mercedes GLK Height Control Issue

My 2012 Mercedes GLK gasoline engine has a height control restricted warning. The low beams are off, the front end looks low, the ride is bumpy, and there's an error code about the ride height. I suspect a control rod on a height sensor. Has anyone else dealt with this leveling system?

The symptoms point to an issue within the air suspension system, specifically the ride height control. The uneven height and error code suggest a problem with the height sensors or linkages. Before replacing the control module, inspect the wiring and connectors to the height sensors for corrosion or damage, as a faulty electrical connection can mimic a sensor failure.

Good point about the wiring, I'll check it. Can I test the sensors with a multimeter, or is it more involved? I want to rule out a sensor issue before looking at the control module.

Testing the height sensors with a multimeter is possible, but requires wiring diagrams and understanding the expected resistance or voltage values at different ride heights. Given the potential complexity, I advise consulting a certified Mercedes-Benz technician to properly diagnose the root cause.

Thanks for the advice. The shop found a defective control rod on a height sensor. They replaced it, cleared the code, and now the GLK is riding well again. The cost was 110€.
