Mercedes GLS Hybrid rough engine and stalling issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Mercedes GLS Hybrid experienced rough engine performance, stalling, and a check engine light, with jerky acceleration. The issue was suspected to be a defective ignition coil. After inspection, it was confirmed that both the ignition coil and a cable connection were faulty. Replacing the ignition coil resolved the problem.

Can you share more about your experience? Did you have jerking during acceleration? Was a cable or plug connection the definitive cause?

Yes, I had jerking during acceleration. A faulty connection can contribute, but a failing coil can also be the cause. I suggest having a workshop inspect your vehicle to pinpoint the source.

Following your advice, a workshop inspected my vehicle. It was a defective ignition coil, and the cable connection was also defective. The repair was 95€. The new ignition coil fixed everything. Thanks again!

I had a similar issue with my Mercedes GLS, including the check engine light and rough idling. The ignition coil is a likely suspect. It's worth investigating the ignition system thoroughly, as a defective coil can cause those symptoms.
