Mercedes GLS microphone issues

My 2019 Mercedes GLS with a gasoline engine is having microphone issues. Telephony no longer works and an error is stored. Could it be the infotainment system, and what could I do?

I had a similar problem with my GLS. Was speech recognition also affected? Did you also notice any issues with volume control or other audio input?

Volume control seems OK, but speech recognition is indeed not working. Voice recognition too. Is the microphone repair difficult?

Sounds like exactly what I experienced. It ended up requiring a trip to the workshop unfortunately. They also suspected the infotainment system.

Thanks. I will schedule an appointment. The repair cost me 815€. It was indeed a defective infotainment system.
