Mercedes GT Roadster Solar Sensor Issue

I haven't checked the live data yet, but I can try that. Where exactly is the solar sensor located? I'll need to find it to inspect the connection. That fuse question is good too - do you know which fuse number it is?

Okay, so before diving into live data, locating that sensor and checking its physical connection is logical. Typically, the sunlight sensor is situated on the dashboard, often near the base of the windshield, centrally located. Consult your vehicle's repair manual for the exact location, as models can vary slightly. Disconnecting and reconnecting it might resolve a poor connection, if that is indeed the issue. I'd advise getting this checked out by a professional though, if you are not comfortable doing it by yourself.

Thanks for the insight. I followed your advice and tracked down the likely fuse based on the wiring diagram. It was blown. Replaced it and the error is gone, and the heating seems to be performing normally. I appreciate the guidance.

A solar sensor fault on a GT Roadster, huh? Interesting. So, the error code is definitely pointing directly at the solar sensor circuit? Have you checked the basic stuff like the fuse associated with that circuit? Also, can you read live data from the sensor using an OBD scanner? If you can access live data, what kind of values are you seeing, especially when the sun is shining directly on the sensor? Is the heating consistently low, or is it intermittent? Intermittent issues can be a real pain to track down.
