Mercedes M Klasse Cruise Control Issue

I'm writing to inquire about a potential issue with my Mercedes M Klasse built in 2010 with a Diesel engine. The vehicle currently has 44190 km. I've recently encountered a malfunction with the cruise control system. Specifically, an error message is displayed and the cruise control function is inoperable. The diagnostics indicate an error stored in the error memory. Based on my research, a likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Yeah, I had something similar happen on my Mercedes, it's a C Class. Cruise control just quit, threw an error. I'd start by checking the throttle body connections and any other car electronics you can easily access. Diagnostics are key, though. Could be a simple fix, could be something more involved. Are you comfortable poking around with a multimeter?

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the suggestion regarding the throttle body connections. I do possess some familiarity with using a multimeter. Could you elaborate on which specific connections or areas I should focus on when inspecting the throttle body? I am uncertain about the precise location of potential weak points or common failure areas.

Honestly, without seeing it myself, it's tough to say exactly where to poke. If the error is stored, the workshop should be able to pinpoint the defective area. Might be best to just take it in before you cause more problems.

I appreciate your advice. I decided to take it to a workshop. You were right, it was a defective cable connection. The repair cost was 95€. Thank you for your assistance.
