Thank you for your prompt response Regarding your Volvo XC60, could you elaborate on what you found obstructing the brake pedal and what specifically was affected Was it visibly obvious I would appreciate a more detailed explanation so that I can attempt to diagnose the issue on my own vehicle

Certainly In my Volvo, a floor mat had shifted and was preventing the brake pedal from fully returning to its normal position This caused the brake lights to remain on constantly, eventually triggering the error It was a simple issue, but it presented as a serious vehicle safety concern If the switch is not activating maybe a visit to a workshop is needed

Thank you for sharing your experience I inspected the brake pedal area again, more thoroughly this time I did discover a small item that had indeed become lodged beneath the pedal, preventing its full return Upon removing the obstruction, the brake lights now function normally, and the error message has disappeared The repair cost was 0€ Your advice was invaluable

I understand I experienced a similar brake light problem in my previous 2018 Volvo XC60 The error message and the tail light failure were quite alarming In my case, the problem was traced back to the area around the brake pedal Did you check if anything is obstructing the full travel of the brake pedal
