Mercedes M Klasse radar sensor error

Sounds familiar I had a similar issue with my driving assistance features after driving through some muddy conditions Have you checked if the sensor is visibly obstructed Sometimes a bit of dirt or road grime can mess with the radar calibration

Thanks for the quick reply I haven't actually checked the sensor itself yet mostly because I'm not sure where it's located or what it should look like Is it something easily accessible or am I better off just taking it to a workshop

It's usually behind the front bumper but getting to it can be a pain without the right tools If your adaptive cruise and other safety systems are failing and you are unsure a quick check at a workshop might be worth it They can diagnose it properly Could be something simple could be more Don't want to mess with the safety systems

You were spot on Took it to a local shop and they said the radar sensor was just filthy They cleaned it cleared the error codes and everything's working perfectly again Cost me 45€ Thanks for the advice
